Summary

Tansol scans rooms and objects with your camera and LiDAR sensor, and what it produces stays on your device.

There is no account and no sign-up, so nothing is tied to your name or email.

There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party SDKs.

Data leaves your device in one case: you tap Reconstruct, that project's photos go to our reconstruction service, and are deleted after 7 days.

Camera access is required for scanning; location and motion are optional and only place and level a floor plan.

Files you export or share go only where you send them, and we never see them.

What we collect

Almost nothing reaches us. The app creates your data and your device keeps it.

Stored on your device:

Photos from a Guided Object capture and the checkpoint data derived from them.
Room geometry from a Floor Plan scan: walls, doors, windows and detected objects, plus the plan and model built from them.
Beacons you place: label, colour, height, X and Y, and latitude and longitude if you georeference.
An optional location fix and compass heading, used only to anchor and rotate a plan.
Barometer and altimeter readings during a Floor Plan scan, used only to notice you changed floor level.
Project names, dates, model versions and settings.

Sent to us, only when you ask: tapping Reconstruct uploads that project's capture photos and a small manifest (file names, sizes, chosen quality). No other action in the app uploads anything. Our server also records ordinary request information (IP address, time, bytes transferred) so it can run and resist abuse.

We never collect your name, email or contacts; your photo library (version 1.0 does not ask for it at all); background location; health data; an advertising identifier; or any identifier that recognises you across apps.

How we use it

On your device, the captured data builds the plan and the 3D model, places and measures beacons, renders print previews, and produces the files you export.

On our reconstruction service, uploaded photos serve one purpose: producing the higher quality model for that job and handing it back to your app. They are not sold, shared, or used for anything unrelated to your job. We do not profile you, show ads, or use your data to decide anything about you.

Where data lives

Projects live inside the app's own sandboxed storage. Deleting a project deletes its files, and deleting the app removes all of them.

If you use Apple's device backup (iCloud Backup or an encrypted local backup), your source captures may be included, because it is a backup of your device. That backup is made and held by Apple under Apple's terms, not by us, and we have no access to it. Large derived artefacts such as generated models and exports are excluded from backup.

We run no cloud storage for your projects: no Solbish account, no sync, and no copy of your scans on our side apart from the temporary uploads below.

The Mac reconstruction service

A Mac we run can produce a better model than a phone or tablet computes on its own. This is opt-in, per project, per attempt.

It happens only when you deliberately tap Reconstruct. If you never tap it, nothing is uploaded.
The project's photos and manifest are uploaded over HTTPS to scan.solbish.com, which runs on hardware we operate.
The service reconstructs the model and the app downloads it back into the project.
Uploaded photos and generated artefacts are deleted after 7 days.
There is no account and no user identity. One per-app token authenticates the app, not you, and carries no personal data.
We do not pass your uploads to any other company for processing.

Capture photos can show the inside of your home, documents, or other people, so upload only what you are comfortable sending.

Permissions

Location is used only in the foreground, while you scan. You can change or revoke any permission in iOS Settings under Tansol.

We do not sell your personal information, share it for advertising, or pass it to data brokers.

The app contains no analytics, crash reporting, advertising, attribution or social login SDK. RoomPlan, Object Capture, ARKit, Core Location and Core Motion are Apple frameworks running on your device.

A file you share through the iOS share sheet goes wherever you send it: Files, AirDrop, mail, a slicer, a cloud drive. From there it is handled by the service or person you chose, under their terms, and we have no visibility into it. We would disclose information we hold if the law required it, but for on-device data there is nothing to disclose.

Retention and deletion

On your device, projects stay until you delete them: use the project menu, Settings > Clear All Data, or delete the app.

On the reconstruction service, uploads and generated artefacts are deleted after 7 days. Short server logs are kept only as long as needed to run and protect the service.

To have an upload deleted sooner, write to [email protected]. Because we hold no identity for you, we need something that locates the job: the approximate date and time of the upload, and the job identifier if you have it.

What we control. Only the reconstruction uploads and their server records. Data that never leaves your device is under your sole control; we cannot read, produce or delete it for you.

Legal basis (EU and UK GDPR). Consent, given by your explicit tap on Reconstruct, is the basis for uploading and processing your photos (Article 6(1)(a)). Withhold it by not using the feature; withdraw it by asking us to delete an upload. Short server records rest on our legitimate interest in running the service securely (Article 6(1)(f)).

Your rights. Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Write to [email protected] and we answer within one month. If your upload is older than the retention window, the honest answer is that we hold nothing about you. You may also complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).

California residents (CCPA/CPRA). In the last 12 months we have not sold or shared personal information, and we do no cross-context behavioural advertising. We offer no financial incentives for data. You have the right to know, delete, correct, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights, at the same address.

Children

Tansol is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child sent us data through the reconstruction feature, write to [email protected] and we will delete it.

Security

Uploads travel over HTTPS. On your device, project files sit inside the app sandbox under iOS device encryption; a passcode or biometric lock protects them if the device is lost. On the service, access is limited to us and uploads are deleted after the retention window. No system is perfectly secure, but the amount of your data we hold at any moment is small and short-lived by design.

Changes

We will update this policy when the app changes. The current version always lives at https://tansol.app/privacy with its effective date at the top. If a change materially affects how your data is handled, for example a new upload or a longer retention period, we will say so in the app first.
